Getting started

How do I set it up?
Create a family account with your email, add each child with a first name, grade, and a 4–6 digit PIN, and pick their subjects. Kids log in at the kids page with your family code and their PIN.
What grade should I pick?
Their current grade is fine. It's only a starting point: the placement check moves up or down to wherever they really are, in each subject separately.
Is it a full curriculum?
It covers the core four subjects from kindergarten through high school, with a lesson and practice for every skill. Many families use it alongside the books, projects, and field trips they already love, as the part that finds and fills the gaps.
I'm lost. Is there a guide?
Yes. The first time you (or your child) open a page, a short tour points out what each part does. Skip it if you like: the ? button at the top of every page replays it, and has a "Send feedback" form if something is still confusing. A real person reads every message. Kids have the same ? button, with their study-buddy cat as the guide.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser: laptop, Chromebook, tablet, or phone. Read-aloud uses the device's built-in voice.

Learning

How long is a session?
Practice cards take about 5–10 minutes. The first placement check is 20–40 questions per subject (fewer for K–2), and can be paused and resumed anytime.
What if my child is ahead (or behind)?
Both are expected. Kids who are ahead keep climbing past their grade. Kids with gaps get exactly those skills, not a whole year repeated. Grade level is a report, never a gate.
Can my child read the questions on their own?
For kindergarten and first grade, questions read themselves out loud and answers are pictures where possible. Older kids can tap Listen on any question or lesson.
How do you make sure questions are right?
Every question is written to a standard, answered blind by a separate checker to make sure the key is right, and read for clarity at its grade level. Math changes are approved by a person before kids see them. Kids and parents can report any question with one tap.

Records and Colorado

Does it help with Colorado homeschool requirements?
It logs learning time and attendance against Colorado's 172 days, stores evaluations, and prints a year report you can keep in your records. You're still responsible for your notice of intent and testing or evaluation.
Can I add learning that happened off-screen?
Yes. Log any time, like a field trip or a library afternoon, and it counts toward the totals.

Privacy and AI

What do you store about my kids?
A first name or nickname, grade, a PIN (stored scrambled), and their answers and progress. No birthdays, photos, or kid emails. See the privacy draft.
Where is AI used?
Two optional places: a practice helper that nudges without giving the answer (never during placement or check-ins), and rubric feedback on writing. Parents can turn the helper off and see every message.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No ads, no in-app purchases, and we don't sell or share data.

For kids

What if I get one wrong?
That's how it learns what to teach you! In practice you'll see the big idea and how to solve it, then you can try another one like it.
Can I go ahead of my grade?
Yes! If you know it, you can keep going. There's even a stretch card every week that's one step past your best.
How do I keep my streak?
Do one card a day. Weekends never break a streak, and a freeze covers one missed weekday.
Can I learn something I'm curious about?
Ask for it! Pick a skill and your parent gets a request to say yes.
