Geography: maps, globes, and how places shape lives (kindergarten)
Maps and globes show us where things are. Weather and land shape how people live.
What a map shows
💡 A map is a flat picture of a place from up high.
A map shows a place from up high. It is how a bird sees it.
A map helps you find your way. It shows where things are.
A map is flat. You can fold it up and put it in a bag.
🧠 How to think about it
Find the place you know first, like your house. Then look at what is next to it. The park is next to the school. So walk past the school to get there.
