Weather patterns and staying safe (kindergarten)

Weather is what the sky and air are like each day. We can watch it, count it, and get ready for it.

Kinds of weather

💡 Weather can be sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, or snowy. We dress for it.

Look up at the sky. Is it sunny? Is there rain? Is there snow?

Wind is air that moves. It blows leaves and lifts kites.

On a snowy day, wear a warm coat. On a rainy day, use an umbrella.

🧠 How to think about it

Look for clues. Rain drops? It is rainy. Leaves blow? It is windy.

🏡 Try it at home

Look out the window each morning this week. Say the weather. Pick what to wear for it.
