Counting objects and writing numbers to 20 (kindergarten)

Counting tells how many things there are. Here you will count each thing once and learn what the last number means.

Touch each one once

Tap each one to count it

💡 Touch each thing one time as you say one number.

Point to one thing and say one number. Then move to the next thing.

If you skip one, your count is too small. If you touch one twice, it is too big.

🧠 How to think about it

Count in rows. Go across the top row. Then go to the next row. Do not jump around.

how many
the number of things in a group
🏡 Try it at home

Count the spoons in the drawer. Move each spoon to the side as you count it.
